Today we are delighted to share part two of that shoot with the equally stylish and totally suave David and Andrew. Styled and put together by the same creative team, today's shoot has a similar laid back vibe, and the love is just as potent and clear. A big thanks to Claire Barry for organising this so beautifully and to Leanne Keaney for sharing it with us all...
David and Andrew tell us their love story..."We met on a dating app. We spoke for a while before meeting up and made each other laugh a lot. Weeks later we had a drink together and got on great. A year later we were engaged, then a year later we had our civil partnership. What an amazing day. We have amazing family, friends travel the world and make each other laugh and smile."
David and Andrew had their own black tie civil ceremony in 2014, ao for today's shoot stylist Claire Barry wanted to give them a different, yet equally stylish celebration.
Claire describes the style and vibe of the shoot..."In styling the shoot I talked to the guys about their own personal style. Their own civil partnership in January 2014 had been a big black tie event. Though this shoot was to have more of a country feel, we still wanted it to be quite sophisticated, to suit them. The general colour-scheme of grey and gold came about when Katie and I were planning the tablescapes - she had this beautiful gold cutlery which I knew the guys would love as well as soft grey tablecloths and it all went from there. To go with the elegant ideas Cat, from The Cake Cuppery, created a dark chocolate cake with very clean lines and added some gold leaf to the fruit for some extra decadence."
Claire continues..."Louis Copeland were my first thoughts for the suits so I was delighted they wanted to be involved. We wanted the suits to compliment each other but still to be quite different. John Byrne at their Wicklow Street store came up with this perfect combination of suits and accessories for David and Andrew. Hopefully there will be lots of gay weddings happening soon and in celebration of this we wanted to put some inspiration out there. It helped that our real couple were particularly handsome and very comfortable in front of the camera!"
